So, unless you're a die-hard TMNT fan, don't get this as your first choice and buy the other versions instead. You might think that the game's flaws can be blamed on the NES's 8-bit technology- think again look at the complexity and length of NES games such as Zelda, BattleToads, the Mega Man series, and others. The sad thing is that the other NES games of the turtles were actually FUN.

The story is lame, the characters are cheap, and the music is pretty bad. Overall (3/5): I wish I could say that this was a great game it's not, especially when compared with the two other versions. The ending isn't too bad, but going through more repeats of stages and insanely-difficult bosses like Hot-Head? Just not worth it. Replayability (2/5): This game once it's over, it's over. Difficulty (5/5): This game will chop off your knee-caps, castrate you, and then hang you upside down and ask you for more- in other words: STONE COLD. Believe it or not, one of the stages actually uses what seems to be a near-exact copy of the Mortal Kombat theme! Sound Effects (3/5): Average for a NES game. Music (3/5): I really didn't like the music that much, most of these just don't have the same charm that the other turtles games had.

Also, the characters were WAY too cheap, Raphael and Hot-Head are near unbeatable! The Turtles don't even use their WEAPONS in this one! =Basic Overview= Graphics (4/5): Not bad, but I've seen much better on the NES. Secondly, there were only like 7 players. Being on an 8-bit system in a then- 16-bit world, this is the probably the weakest entry to the series: Why? Well, for one there were only 4 stages in the whole game, and they were constantly re-used for bosses. NINJA TURTLES V: TOURNAMENT FIGHTERS by the-micro-man! Description: Year - 1993 Company - Konami Platform - NES Genre - Action Subgenre - Fighting About the game: This was the last game in the original Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles series, as this game came out when the Turtles' popularity was draining away due to the newcoming Mighty Morphin' Power Rangers.
